Title: Discount all Category

Hi,

I am thinking of having a store-wide sale and I would like to know if there is a way to assign discounts to departments and category rather than going through each product in that department or category.

Here's one way to do that:
Open the Products / Product Control window.
Do a search by Department (or category or anyway you want)
Put 10 in the Change All field.  This would be for a 10% discount.
Use the menu Change / Fill All Listed Sale% with Change All.

This will fill all the listed products with a 10% discount.  But it won't happen until you activate the sale.  To activate the sale:
Close the Product Control window and open the Products / Discount.  Select one of the options to activate the sale.  #2 uses the Sale Date period.  #3 uses the Happy Hour settings to control the days of a week and times of the sale.
