Good day please i would a am currently running a USA version 14 restaurant ezpower registered to unusual cuisine lagos, Nigeria.
i have two questions
(1) how can i set a 5% vat on products.where the the 5% of the value is actually added to the price of the item, thus an item selling for 10 dollars will have 0.5 cents added thus the total price will be 10.05.
(2) how can i set a fixed  tax rate and handling charge for a particular customer.

Open the Settings / Tax & Precision.  To set the tax at 5% put a 5.00 as the rate.  If you want the tax added to the sales amount then select the option Tax Added or VAT Added.
You can't change the tax rate or handling by customer.  You can only set a customer to Tax Exempt for any of the tax rates.
