US dates & Times in TimeClock
« on: July 20, 2014, 02:33:07 PM »
I like to export the timeclock data into excel when I process staff pays. From Excel I can adjust rates etc & print the payslips. BUT...the info coming from the pos program is in US date format. As I'm in Australia, Excel will not read the dates & times correctly. What to do? Do I have to change the regional settings on the sign in machine? Any ideas? Cheers

Does the date display correctly in other places in the POS program?  The date format is set by Windows in the Control Panel / Regional & Language Options.  But it may be the file export and imports are all done using the universal date format to insure consistence.

Inside the program, the date displays correctly.  It is only when viewing the time clock reports that the US time/date system kicks in. Is there a way to view them using the UK time format?

Are you talking about in the "Payroll" report, the columns Start and Out?

The start and stop dates are formatted to the setting in the Windows Control Panel.  You must be talking about something else.  It would save a lot of time for a more precise description of what you are talking about.
