Department & Categories Subtotals have unknown Total

Hi,
I am trying to balance my end-of-day reports and am having a difficult time figuring out a total at the top of the Department Subtotals and Categories Subtotals
it reads as follows:
Departments Subtotals
9
Total 43.99
Beer & Wine  62
Total 477.44
Coffee & Espresso 11
Total 17.32
and so on.....

Categories Subtotals
9
Total 43.99
Beer 45
Total 318.69
Breakfast Food 13
Total 40.26
and so on......my question is what department does the 43.99 come out of?  If I don't include the 43.99 then my balancing is off that amount.

Products with no department selected.

ok, thank you.  these are mistakes.  everything is meant to have a department.  how do I determine which products these are so I can assign them to a department?

Open the Product Control.  Department and Category are columns in the list.

That's happened to me a couple times, too.  I was able to see what was wrong by going into Reports, and doing a Detailed Daily Summary - making sure Categories and Departments were included in the report criteria.  The report shows pretty clearly which products are missing something.
