DVD rental report shows returned movies
« on: February 03, 2015, 10:32:27 AM »
Hi, we are having an issue where some DVDs continue to show up on our Rental List report.  I have marked them as returned but they continue to show up on the report and are marked as not returned.  I have gone so far as to delete the DVD and re-add, and deleting the customer who rented the DVD, but they still show up on the report.  Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tamara McCoy

Send us the files and we'll take a look.  Open the Help window and click on the Database link.  A window will open.  Zip a copy of the ezp folder and email it to support@denverresearch.com.

What we found was there was 'unconnected' rentals.  Rentals that where no longer in the sale but were left dangling in the rented database.  I'm not sure how that happened.  Maybe you have an idea.  What we did was added some code that scans all the rentals for disconnected ones whenever a Return All is used.  We sent you an update.  Give a try and let us know how it works.
